Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint- NEW!

Time for another foundation review! I saw some Insta posts on this product over a week ago and knew I had to try it when I started researching and reading the claims. I hurried over to Sephora who didn’t yet have it on shelves 😦 . The sales associate offered to go to the back and see if they were in store and they did! . I was very excited that she had it but, I couldn’t color match myself because they didnt have testers. I got a little impatient and noticed that the colors in their Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizers are the same as in the Velvet Matte Skin Tint so I matched myself that way and took the chance. I got the color St. Mortiz

Here are the Product Claims

What it is:
An oil-free skin tint to protect and perfect with a soft-matte finish.

What it does:
This oil-free formula wears comfortably, maintaining skin’s natural moisture barrier while working to control shine throughout the day. Transparent Blurring Powders help to blur imperfections, even the look of skintone, and smooth the appearance of pores and fine lines. The powders’ unique, spherical shape compresses like a cushion, delivering a velvety-smooth, touchable feel and superior comfort on application. Vitamins C, E, and broad spectrum SPF 30 protect against free-radical damage caused by environmental stress. Simply touch and go for an effortlessly perfected look.

I have been looking for a product like this for everyday where I want to look more natural. I love a good cake face but I want to simplify my routine and add SPF back into my regimen.  I have combination skin {oily T-Zone, Dry everywhere else}.   I have been wearing this product for 9 days now using different moisturizers and primers. To be completely honest, I was ready to take this back to Sephora last week. My skin looked flakey in some parts and thought this was just too Matte. When I used a heavier moisturizer, my was face was oily 3 hours in.. I was using a moisturizer along with primer for my pores and it just wasn’t working for me. As you know, i HATE to touch up anything other than lipstick.

I was pretty disappointed but I had ordered the Glossier Priming Moisturizer so I thought I would wait for that to arrive and try it along with it before making my final decision.  Apparently, for my skin and the Nars Velvet Skin Tint, simple is better. I moisturize AND Prime with the Glossier Priming Moisturizer, Spray a little MAC fix+ and apply the Skin Tint with a beauty blender. I have to say, I love love love this and I now agree with the claims completely.

Have you tried this product yet? What do you think?

Here is a pic of me wearing this with the rest of my makeup as well as a pic of my current base additions with this product. My face stays intact for 12 hours, maybe more. SCORE!
